A reader asks…
Many of my family member’s dogs end up with health problems in their senior years which I personally believe are some what linked to rotting teeth.
Last Thursday I bought a 12 week old Dachshund puppy. He doesn’t let me keep his mouth open to brush his teeth, which for now, I consider to be the biggest hurdle. The good thing is that he likes to nibble on the tooth brush but he does this funny thing after every bite he takes at it where he shakes his head. I don’t think it’s painful for him, because he always comes back for more, maybe the bristles just tickle his gums?
Anyway, any tips would be appreciated. Thank you :]
