My Dog Cries Out Loud Every Single Time I Try To Pick Him Up?

A Reader Asks…
I have a daschund and very recently, my brother got pissed at him and threw him at the stairs. Ever since, my dog cries out loud every time i pick him up. i’ve tried massaging his arms, but it seems as if it’s his CHEST that’s injured.
im wondering whether it’s a slipped disk or a back problem. and i don’t want to go to the vet until i’ve heard opinions.
his eating habits are still normal, and his stool shows no sign of diaherra.
please help. i really love my dog!

If you really love your dog as you say, then you’ll get him to the vet regardless of what anyone here has to say.
He could have a broken or cracked rib or other bone. He could be badly bruised, or have internal injuries that will get worse over time.
If you haven’t told your parents about what your brother did – you should. He needs help now if he’s abusing innocent animals – it can only get worse. And, be sure to keep him away from your dog and you. He sounds very troubled.
Take your pup to the vet right away, If it’s not too serious, he will at least give him something for the pain.
Good luck!
First of all — report your brother to the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) Abusing animals is a crime!!
Secondly — GET THE DOG TO A VET. If it’s not a slipped or ruptured disc, it is most likely that the dog has one or more CRACKED RIBS.
If you and the dog are both VERY lucky, maybe he’s only sustained a bad bruise.
KEEP BROTHER AWAY FROM THE DOG!!
Your dog has suffered acute trauma, and needs x-rays to determine the extent of its injuries. It may have broken ribs, a back injury, or something else going on internally. He’s obviously in pain, and needs to see the vet as soon as possible.
Throw your brother at the stairs.
But really, take your dog to the vet.. tomorrow! If you say you love your dog – take him in! I’m not sure why you haven’t but please please take him in to get checked out.
Also call the police on your brother. That is totally unacceptable
He is either injured or he is traumatized by his past experience (your brother hurt him) so he cries when you try to touch him. Both can be possible, so if you “really love your dog”, take him to the vet.
If you love your dog then take him to the vet.
Please take your pooch to the vet then report your brother for animal abuse…Trust me it is for his own good!
He’s definitely in pain, so take him to the vet.
he’s definitely hurt. who knows where??
bring him to the vet.
