Is There Something Wrong With My Dog?


when i woke up, my dog (hes a boxer) was moving really slow. he is usually hyper, and hes 4 years old. he wasn’t limping or anything i checked his legs, but he usually goes fast down the stairs, and he took the stairs one at a time. hes being slow, like hes getting old or something, but hes going to be only 5 in december. is there something wrong with him?

    Yes. He needs to see the vet.

  2. Lethargy is never a good sign. If he is vaccinated he may have a back injury or something else going on to cause him to move so slowly. If he isn’t vaccinated you could have a whole array of things going on. I would suggest taking his temperature. If its over 102 then call the vet asap. Notice before you go if he has been eating and drinking normally. Another possibility is if he plays with toys a lot ,maybe he got something accidentally in his throat,or even swollowed something weird. An intestinal blockage will cause the symptoms you mentioned.

  3. My dog does this sometimes when she’s pulled a muscle or bumped herself a little too hard. Could he have overexerted himself recently or something like that? When my dog does that, I generally wait a couple of days and it goes away.

  6. you should take him to the doctor or maybe it isn’t a boy maybe it is a girl and she might be pregnant

  11. my dog is the same way is he over weght his hip and joint may have so much pressure its hard for him to run maybe he needs more walks
