Stop feeding him people food! Go back to (a good) dog food, help him loose some weight and I bet his energy will come back.

Some animals lose their tolerence for people food as they get older. Try cutting out or at least cutting back on the human food and see if it helps (it usually does)

I’d get the old guy into the vets for a check up. The inflamed butt could mean his anal glands are infected. That would make me sluggish.
Well people food is not good for any dog especially if the dog is over weight. You may want to stop feeding it to the dog and trim it sown. It will add years to the dogs life.
He needs to be seen by your vet for the sore bottom so ask your vet what would be the best thing for your Senior dog ok. Poodles and Poodle mixes can live a very long time.

i would get him into the vets office

  5. Patricia G says:

Give him good quality dog food! I recommend timber wold( search google) since he is older and might not be able to adjust easily to a raw diet. Also, take him to the vet to see about his rectum, it might be the food, but it could be something serious.

  6. Diana D says:

This is pretty simple. Use only dog food for your dog. Walk him twice as long as usual. Make sure he has plenty of water. He will be fine. Sometimes a dry nose means NOTHING. Good luck!
