There are many ethical ways to find a Pug puppy for sale that does not involve the support of any system that is cruel to dogs, such as puppy mills. Do not buy puppies from pet stores or online puppy stores, as they support puppy mills, overseas travel of far too young puppies and other cruel practices.

If you really want a Pug puppy, and want that puppy to be a good companion for you during the fifteen or so years of a Pug’s life, then you need to use other ways of going on a Pug hunt.

Besides, there are so many other humane ways of finding a Pug puppy for sale that you are better off in the long run going one of these routes. You can try your luck by answering Pug puppy for sale classified ads in the paper or on Craigslist, but you are taking a lot of risks.

If you do not know how to tell a healthy Pug puppy from a sickly Pug puppy, then you will not be able to pick a puppy well. Also, you often don’t get any training support from one of these breeders.

You can find a Pug puppy for sale from classified ads in the local paper or Craigslist ads, but you need to be very careful. Most of these breeders really shouldn’t be breeding anything, let alone Pugs. Never buy a puppy sight unseen. You need to visit the breeder’s home or kennel first, and then the mother of the puppies. (The father is often not there, but be sure to meet him if he is there.)

There are a lot of advantages to getting a Pug puppy for sale from a good breeder. You’ll pay more, but you also get advice, training support, beginning training and usually limited health guarantees. A Pug breeder can also help pair you to a puppy because he or she has gotten to know both of your personalities. A good Pug breeder likes to have control over which buyers the puppies go to.

Pug breed rescues and your local animal shelter will sometimes have Pug puppies, but usually they will have adults. However, these adults will often be trained, already have their shots, won’t surprise you with how big they get and will often be a lot calmer than a puppy.

Sometimes they do have puppies, usually over six months old. Although not really having Pug puppies for sale, the adoption fees are a few hundred dollars. This is to discourage the Pugs winding up in bad hands.
