Dog Training
Yorkies will understand games, a prime way to teach a dog. Games that use positive reinforcement as a learning tool should allow the yorkie to learn in under an hour what he is supposed to do.
Many times if a yorkie is barking the reason is loneliness. In this case barking really is a compliment to the owner.
If an owner desires to teach their yorkie or other dog when to stop barking, follow this method. As your dog barks, go to the door and open it.
Training your yorkie dog during mealtime will add structure and routine to eating. This type of trianing repays generously when strangers offer the dog tasty morsels in the street.
Your dog may bark very loudly even if you are home but in the other room. This can be the case if your pet is a young puppy, or if you own a yorkie.
My dogs are used to being fed on a regular schedule. They know the time to expect a meal to a second. I make a point of feeding them absolutely by the clock.
If I happen to be out driving I stop and feed the dog at the right time. Training your puppies the right eating habit will get them accustomed to eating at the right time.
Yorkies love to get treats for learning a trick. I give my two yorkies a treat after they rehearse a trick, too! They are very fast learners.
