Dog Ramps do not consist of multiple levels, but are rather more like a long raised walkway. Some ramps are adjustable for differing heights, some fold for storage, while others are fixed and intended for a specific use. A few ramps do have bars or pads, similar to treads, to prevent your dog’s paws from slipping in case the surface is slick or wet.

Finally, I have discovered a combination dog step/dog ramp that’s pretty cool. It’s like a folding step ladder – when it’s folded up it works like a ramp, when unfolded it works like steps or stairs. Pretty cool idea actually!

How to Choose Dog Step, Dog Stairs, and Dog Ramps

When looking for a dog step you need to keep in mind your dog breed, and your lifestyle. Some people like their dog steps to match with their home decor, and therefore might want to consider a designer dog stair.
